Kentucky Children's Hospital

This hospital is a wonderful team of doctors, from the ent, to the attending, to the triage team. my family got much needed answers and care for my two year old. They also brought him a iPad and were so kind to him, he was comfortable as well and so relaxed here. I’ve never had such a good experience seeking emergency care. God bless these people.

My 8 month old daughter had a sedated MRI this morning. I was a nervous wreck, but the staff at the pediatric sedation unit was AMAZING and made everything as smooth as possible. We felt comfortable and prepared after talking with the nurses, and they treated my little girl just like the precious cargo that she is. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Molloy, was also wonderful. I’m so grateful for the excellent care we received today- thank you for making a very hard day a little easier.

This is one of the worst hospitals I have ever been. And I’ve worked in healthcare over 11years. We waited in a room for over an hour before anyone even came in to acknowledge we were here. I ended up pushing the nurse button and asking when my child would get care. I wouldn’t have been upset waiting this long had it been busy, or had traumas coming in but it wasn’t. You had multiple staff talking about their weekend plans and who just slept with whom on staff right outside our room in the pit. The doctor who did finally come in to see my child was very kind, and treated us well and timely. So he can have the star. I understand being understaffed, again I’ve worked in healthcare-a Peds ER at that for years. THIS was not caused by that. UK Peds DO BETTER. We are on vacation here so thankf

4 year resident doctor drew was very disrespectful to our family and when question her she purposely hurt my new born by pushing down on his groin right after he had had be cut on. Just out of spite of us questioning her decisions. My child suffered spasms after they pre broke my child’s mother water then accused family of causing spasms by withdrawal when neither me or mother abuse alcohol or drugs when symptoms of early water brake is jittery actions. Worse experience ever as first time father. Michael Thornton I will never take my child there again.

No worries KCH, Cincinatti is doing a WONDERFUL job of caring for and trying to reverse the damage you caused my son. I WOULD NOT take your babies here, especially if they're medically fragile. The intentionally caused my baby harm, (I say intentional because I pointed out the issue and was argued with). Turns out, they didn't care enough that it happened the first time, they let it happen AGAIN! They then lied and manipulated me into a meeting that I asked not to be in without a patient advocate, so I went in alone not knowing I was actually alone. Then, the medical director of the PICU tells me I have no right to see the consents we signed or revoke consents for anything. This place sickens me and I pray every single day for the children and families who are still there unknowing of what
