A wonderful therapist, with lots of knowledge! We were surprised to see that Katie works with all age groups, (I always thought that tongue ties were diagnosed in babies), since my daughter was 14 when she started seeing Katie. She is very patient, warm, and really takes her time explaining, and making the patients comfortable. I guess it might be a bit more challenging dealing with a teenager, but her and my daughter worked very well, and a lot of progress was made in preparation for the release. Katie knew the right specialist who would do the procedure, explained every step, and helped us with the exercises pre, and post tongue release. I would definitely recommend Katie for those looking for a myofunctional specialist.

We had a wonderful experience with Katie! She worked with us both pre and post-op when our daughter had her tongue tie fixed. She is super sweet, patient, and extremely good with children. It made the whole process super easy and smooth, we highly recommend her!!

Absolutely amazing, Katie can look at the patient and near instantly identify issues and start working with the patient and family for life-long mouth, swallowing and breathing health. Katie is absolutely amazing! Our 24 month old daughter was referred to Katie by her dentist to evaluate her lip and tongue ties. We knew of the tongue tie from birth but it was determined not to be of concern since she was able to feed. However, it was not until meeting Katie when we were made aware of potential impact beyond just being able to latch or feed. After learning more from Katie, it became increasingly clear that the some of the challenges our daughter had during the first 2+ years of her life — when it came to eating, gagging, sleeping — could have been caused by her ties. After careful assessment, Katie along with 2 other dentists recommended a frenectomy. Leading up to this, we had weekly sessions with Katie to help with the release. The sessions were efficient and thorough.

My family met Katie after our baby had oral restrictions corrected. Our lactation consultant recommended we meet with Katie for some additional help getting our baby nursing effectively since he showed a lot of oral tension. When Katie sat down with us and did one brief exercise with our baby we immediately noticed a difference. By the end of our first appointment we were astounded by the change. We saw her a few weeks later and had gone from painful sporadic nursing to full time nursing. We continued to meet with Katie a couple more times, implementing her recommended exercises and each time we saw huge improvements.
