My husband and I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Iris for a neurology evaluation recently. She was AMAZING! We had seen 3 neurology physicians prior and not only were the history taking and exams lacking, but they had no idea of what the diagnosis might be and relied 100% on a brain MRI. Dr. Iris did a thorough history and neurology exam. She ordered pertinent tests and consulted afterwards with a nero-radiologist to confirm her thoughts and differential diagnosis. Through this time she offered kindness, compassion, empathy, excellent listening skills and engaged us as part of the "team", including us in decision making. She was 100% more thorough and professional than the other providers we had seen. She is a wonderful addition to our healthcare community and I cannot recommend her

I have found so much relief from my chronic migraines with Iris as my provider. She is kind, knowledgeable, and an amazing advocate for her patients. After driving to Phoenix for a couple of years to see a neurologist that didn’t listen to me, I’m so grateful Iris is located in Flagstaff and has outstanding outside-the-box thinking. She is exactly who I was looking for and I’m glad to have found her.

I think Iris is incompetent. I made an appointment to see her because my husband has dementia. She sent me to a place to get an MRI and that place was incredibly unprofessional. We then set up a following phone call to discuss the MRI. She was almost 20 minutes late for the phone call did not notify me in anyway. Finally, when we had the phone call, she didn’t know who I was or why I was calling even though I was on her appointment book. She started the conversation sy saying how complicated it was to explain the results. Every time she tried to explain, she kept repeating how complicated it was. Iris of Karen Neurology provides skilled, highly educated and dedicated neuro care, she listens and treats me with respect, and she has the experience and resources to help me navigate the complex healthcare system. I’m not opposed to seeing a good MD/DO but my experience with her as a DNP far exceeds that of any physician I’ve ever been to.
