Kaplan, Jonathan D OD - Family Eye Care Service

$50 fee charged for a canceled appointment I agreed last week to go in but unfortunately I missed it and called few hours later to reschedule because I badly needed new glasses. After more than 10 years using family eye care even I tried to argue it still a big No won't unlock my account to book me another appointment unless I pay the $50.00 with the worse of customer service attitude on the phone putting me so long on hold... I end up paying and booked another appointment which will be in about 2 months later but I won't be buying no more my glasses from them.

I've been coming here for over 30 years. Most of the same friendly faces are still here and treat us like family. We always receive terrific care. Modern equipment and eyewear selections, and plenty of parking.

The lady with the purple hair is extremely rude. Poor customer service at this "doctors" office. I was told to take out my contacts in another room when I can't see. I told the lady I would take them out in doctors office. When I went in the doctor yelled at me for not taking out my lenses. This man is unhinged. I heard he had personal family problems but that is no excuse to be rude to your patients. He needs his license revoked. I explained I usually take them out in the office. I needed to see to walk. Very unprofessional. Avoid this place

My last eye doctor was an absolute nightmare.. I found family eye care through Google and they immediately made me an emergency eye appointment with Dr. Kaplan. I am and have been suffering for months with severe chronic eye dry to the point of not being able to work..Dr. Kaplan and his support staff are superb. He examined my eyes and I told him every medication I have tried through another eye doctor who just kept putting me on the same OTC type meds that did nothing. Dr. Kaplan prescribed me Restasis and my insurance wanted a pre-auth which was done the same day and was approved within 24 hours.. Dr. Kaplan did say that it will take 4 weeks or so to feel a difference which is understandable. He also explained if for some reason this med doesn't work for me. I am to call the office

Funny people when it comes to ordering contact lenses, many appointments are needed at diffrent times, attendants seem to be uncomfortable discussing much aboit contact lenses as if the subjevt was something "forbiden" in this clinic. All of that, even when you are paying out of pocket for the contact lense ecam, and ordering contacts trhough them. Eyeglass exam experience was great, but when ot came to the contacts, even the Dr. Asks "detective" questions on regards of how they were aquired.
