I had seen Dr Shehebar for my anorectal issues for more than a year. He had been very patience and a warm bed side manner to treatment my conditions. Glad to have him as my colorectal doctor as well as his helpful assistant, Elaine!

I went to see Dr. Shehebar on October 3rd 2025, because my sigmoid/colon is tethered to other organs & it creates a level 10 pain! due to gas back up & constipation. This man talked over me non stop! He called my debilitating pain "perceived pain". He made very light of my situation while I'm still in writhing pain. While speaking during my visit, he actively tried to negate everything I was saying. I understand not wanting to do surgery because it creates more scar tissue but to call my pain "perceived" was an egregious wrong on his part. He told me there is NOTHING he can do for me. He came into the exam room instantly annoyed, and then proceeded to ask me questions when the answers were right in front of his face on the computer in my chart. I was recommended by a gynecological surgeon

This was my second visit with Dr. Shehebar, and this time it was for a colonoscopy. I am truly at a loss for words to adequately describe how exceptional Dr. Shehebar is. I wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone in my family and friend circle. He is such an incredible physician. He takes the time to actively listen to his patients, genuinely cares about every aspect of your concerns, and goes above and beyond to help in every possible way. He promptly responds to all my questions and concerns whenever I reach out to him. I cannot praise Dr. Shehebar highly enough. He is not only an outstanding doctor, but an absolutely remarkable human being.

Dr. Shehebar truly cares about his patients. He took the time to walk me through everything, ensuring I understood every detail and breaking down exactly what he planned to do. He is patient, attentive, and responds very quickly through the NYU app. You can tell he genuinely cares about you and makes you feel like family. I highly recommend Dr. Shehebar to anyone needing stomach surgery. He treats you like a person, not just a patient. I even recommended him to my hospital roommate for their upcoming surgery. Even when his schedule is full, he finds a way to make time for you. I thank God for him—he’s an excellent doctor. Dr. Shehebar and his team, including his amazing nurse Elaine, create a wonderful healing experience. They are so helpful and compassionate, making them an outstanding
