I had an MA appointment with Carol Monroe at Joplin Internal Medicine, and I feel compelled to share how impactful that visit was. In July, I found out that I have invasive lobular breast cancer, and early detection was critical. Carol Monroe took the time to truly listen to my concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and act quickly. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care led to early intervention that may have saved my life. During a time filled with uncertainty and fear, her calm demeanor and compassion provided reassurance and trust. This experience reinforced how important it is to have healthcare providers who not only deliver excellent medical care, but also treat patients with empathy and respect. I’d recommend finding a new person to answer your phone or teach her something called compassion. Maybe even let her know she doesn’t have to catch an attitude and be so damn rude informing patients about how you can choose to deny new patients on Medicaid whenever you please. She could have went about it way more professional and nicer than she did. Will not be recommending anyone to come this place for a PCP.

My wife has a long history of medical issues. Her treatment is crucial. She has been with Carol for several years. It is very difficult to get her seen and get the proper treatment with new physicians. I will say my wife loves Carol as Carol not only take the time to listen and treat my wife but she genually cares. Thank you Carol for your compassion.

Dr. Woods and Carol Monro is very kind and compassionate towards their patients. I’m have a chronic illness. It is very hard to fine a PCP and RNP willing to take the time to diagnose symptoms. Finding a physician that is willing to go over and beyond is amazing, yet humbling when having to refer to specialists when it’s outside their scope of practice. I will add that Carol has literally saved my life. I have nothing but gratitude and respect for her. They deserve more than a 5 star review!
