Johns Hopkins Hospital

I'm giving 5 stars, not for the initial encounter, but for the care that was received after. We waited in the ER for just over 8 hours on a Tuesday. My husband was having trouble breathing, had swollen legs and stage 4 cancer that he was waiting to get treated for. Needless to say, a horrible experience of having to wait in the ER. It's really frustrating when others use the ER as a place to go when they have the sniffles etc. Go to urgent care. The majority of those who were in there were there for those reasons, and that is what ties up the system, and then those who really need help are stuck suffering in the mean time. Anyhow, after my husband was admitted, I have nothing but praises to give. The doctors and nurses who cared for him for 5 days were phenomenal in every way. Never rushed

I went there for annual physical. Doctor arrived 2 hours late. Got all tests done but after that no body followed up with me on test results. It's a great hospital if you are a research material or have lots and lots of money or have good contacts with department heads.

Good Morning, I am having little misunderstandings about your mental health clinic at the John Hopkins location at 600 North Wolfe Street Meyer 144. I want to believe that I have been a patient for 10 years and I do not feel that I am not being treated fairly by your staff, the mental health doctors and well as those public safely guards, I feel that I am being mentally abused my information is not at private and I know it is being spread all over your hospital meaning they know who I am. Another thing why are the staff at the front desk are scheduling appointments to see their therapist or doctors 3 months away and they are scheduling the medicine doctors and therapist together and to me that is a big NO, NO. The worst place for organ transplants. 1/3 success rate due to organ team errors. This requires serious investigation. RIP Grandpa. They called security on his primary emergency contact for no reason.

My doctor switched to Johns Hopkins so I started using their patient portal. I’m very disturbed to see that they tested me for drug abuse years ago at a cardiology appointment. I was supposed to be tested for cholesterol! DO YOU THINK ALL BLACK AMERICANS USE DRUGS??? How racist!!!! Also I found other test results that I should have been informed of. They were too busy being shocked that I didn’t use drugs and didn’t tell me the medical test results that I’m just finding out.
