John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute - Gulfport

I am so grateful to have Dr. Cyril Bathala as my cardiologist. He is so very thorough and listens to my concerns. Two years ago I was having dizziness and extreme fatigue. My blood pressure was on the low end. He recognized immediately that I was taking Flomax and told me it causes low blood pressure and I stopped taking it. The EKG revealed an abnormal rhythm and he ordered an echocardiogram and stress test... Neither were conclusive but indicated some abnormality. He performed a Cardiac Cath and it showed I had a silent heart attack sometime in the past but it had self-resolved with collateral circulation. He explains everything and is very reassuring. I highly recommend him!
