So learning that him being hours and hours late is normal for him. Well that's bull larky my time is just as important I may not work on brains but I do work with very high level military people. Him and his staff all say he was answering questions about brain cancer. They are all trained to say this. When I asked him about why I waited hours he had an attitude. Like I dont deserve an answer. His staff is just as bad My surgery was scheduled for 2 pm and he didn't start till after 7 pm. Noone came to me to tell me why so late until I asked about 630ish I was trying to just let things go but reading these post about how he is late all the time. It's all an excuse and needs to treat his patients better. Im just as important as he is and my time is just as valuable as his. His staff all have

Dr Picket was extremely thorough and took time to explain issues in my back. He is cautious and checked nerves, strength and asked questions to better understand my condition. I am contemplating surgery at this point. I did have Lumbar spinal fusion with Laminectomy on May 20. 2 months post op, I can walk and do most things independently. Prior to surgery I was walker/ or wheelchair full time dependent. Dr. Picket did a great job and I'm so happy I opted to have surgery and so glad I waited for Dr. Picket. The wait times are long, but well worth it. You must always wait for the best!

Dr Pickett is wonderful. Thorough, gentle, and level headed. However, the scheduling system does a disservice to all the patients. Wait time has nothing to do with expertise. A follow up appointment is maybe 20 minutes. A pre op or first time appointment will take longer. This should be considered when scheduling appointment types. We waited over an hour for a five to ten minute chat with the doctor. A nurse told me “I’m a patient here and even I have to wait”. That is not a good thing. It means you’re all over scheduled. We will recommend this doctor to anyone but the recommendation will come with a “make sure you take the whole day off work to be there” caveat. Doc, we truly appreciate YOU and your work and the nursing staff at Huntsville Hospital who worked with you.

My experience with Dr Pickett, in 2017 was a nightmare.. I was never in so disbelief that a Dr could be so callous in a field where they take an oath to heal.I went in for day surgery on my back. When I woke up in recovery I was screaming and crying. My legs felt like they were on fire and I couldn’t move them. No one could explain what happened or what was done in surgery.Dr Pickett and was no where to be found … he left after my surgery to go on vacation. I was inn HH for several days until they sent me to rehab next door for a month to learn to walk again. When my husband and I went for a meeting with Dr Pickett he was curt and condescending with me .My husband and I were on shock at his demeanor. He did not want to talk about the surgery, merely saying I was leaking spinal fluid and he

Although I did have to wait some considerable time to get into the office, It definitely was worth the wait. My first visit Dr had an emergency surgery so that was the reason for my extended wait time. His nurse kept in the loop as to what was going and offered to reschedule or whatever I wanted to do. I elected to wait as I was referred by my long time Chiropractor to see Dr. Pickett that he was the best. I was completely happy with the results of my carpel tunnel surgery. Dr. Pickett is in my opinion is an outstanding surgeon. The staff on my surgery day.. from the door greeters at the hospital to the entire surgical staff prior to, during, and after surgery was outstanding in customer service. i was treated exceptionally well
