My surgery with Dr. Dragelin was a long time ago, but he’s someone I’ve never forgotten. I’m having some other issues now, and I looked him up out of curiosity to see if he is still in the area. I’m glad he is, and I whole-heartedly recommend him. In my particular situation, he was called in after another doctor caused a surgical injury to my bowel. I went in for a fairy routine outpatient surgery and woke up in the ICU with a colostomy! Not only did Dr. Dragelin save my life, it was thanks to his skill that my colostomy was only temporary. I had 2 more surgeries with him in the aftermath of that emergency surgery. I appreciated his direct manner and the way he stepped in to take over my care. I felt like he truly cared about my well-being and recovery.

This man was a complete and total bully. Very rude and completely unprofessional. After experiencing his behavior, and total disregard for what you are facing, I would strongly advise you to find another doctor! He doesn't try to reassure you or help you feel at ease about what you are facing. I've never met a doctor who is so out of touch with his patient on a mental level. When you are facing a procedure or surgery, feeling good about the doctor and putting your trust in him, MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!!! After my encounter with him, I would never let him operate on me! When I tried to talk with him about my concerns he walks over to the door and said "I need to deal with this before it's midnight". I highly recommend this group of doctors. Dr. Dragelin has done two surgeries for me. He was/is amazing. He is caring, sensitive to your needs, listens to your concerns and makes sure your comfortable with everything through the whole process. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. My husband and family were impressed with my care and felt confident through out the whole process.

My surgery with Dr. Dragelin was 15 years ago but switching oncologists and finding myself digging up names/dates led me here and I really felt I needed to comment on the negative bedside manner reviews. My ex-h and I jokingly always referred to Dr. Dragelin as "Dr. Doom". We learned quickly that he was going to give us the facts without fluff. It's hard to take but in the end, I didn't choose him for his delivery. I chose him for his skill at cutting out my cancer and at that, he is expert and that's all that matters. Yes, I had chemo, but I'm still here today because of the incredible surgery Dr. Dragelin performed on me.
