Joe Dimaggio Childrens Hospital

Took my 6yr to this hospital in Miramar the day after he broke his arm. Not even 24hrs after his atv accident Dr. Mcneary and without no pain medication said I'm going to manipulate his arm to get his bones back into place but didn't say "I'm going to squeeze your son's bones back into place with no pain medicine! My son screamed in so much pain, my wife and I were horrified and have like ptsd and my son. So I called the orthopedic manager at Joe dimmagio Miramar to file a complaint and they gave the doctor my personal cell phone and he called me saying he does that to 5 or 6 children a day and they don't cry! He said it seems my 6yr old boy is the few that cries and feels pain and it was all in my head! I never received a call back to ask how we we're doing, apparently the dr mcneary told

I recently visited the orthopedics department, and it was wonderful. They treated me with kindness and compassion and worked tirelessly to get my son's insurance authorization in his hands on time. I am very grateful for that.

Highly recommended! The best children orthopedic center in our area. I know it, because first we visited other medical center and they were horrible (just a total waste of time and money). But Joe DiMaggio center in Miramar is the place where the real professionals are working. Every single person here is friendly and experienced. Including front-desk workers, nurses and doctors. The girl who put a cast on my son's arm did an amazing work - fast and perfect (again I know what I'm talking about since we visited another orthopedic center beforehand). The customer service is very good, Doctor Stephen Storer - the kindest person, easily communicates with kids (knows how to encourage them and support). My visit to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital was very pleasant at first. The check in nurses were very nice. Front desk was very nice but it was when I got to my room in the ER that nurse Daisy Hernandez was extremely rude to me and my family. My daughter had just fallen and hit her head very hard. Hard enough to cause a big lump and she is 10 months old at the time. She also just got over a vicious cold. I politely asked nurse Daisy Hernandez if it was possible to get another room to avoid being in the room with a sick child that was coughing up a storm. I understand the rooms are divided with curtains, but I just wanted to be extra careful as a first time parent. Then nurse Daisy response was understandable at first when she said no we are very packed and there’s no other rooms available

I recently had a visit with Dr. Areeba Basit for pediatric neurology for my daughter. She is such a wonderful doctor. Not only did she take her time to examine my daughter when we first came to her at around 6 months, but when we had our follow up again she was patient, answered ALL my questions/concerns and was so kind to me given the situation can be a little stressful for a first time mom. I HIGHLY recommend her and the facility of Memorial Division of Pediatric Neurology. Everyone is so kind and professional, they truly make you feel welcomed and that they want to help you and your family. Thank you Dr. Areeba Basit.
