I came ready for my appointment with an organized summary. Thank goodness fir that or the appointment would have been a total loss. The 2 main positives were an x-ray and referral to physical therapy. I was told never to use a functional soft ankle brace while strenuously exercising even though I'm a frequent faller with sprained ankles and broken bones due to the falls. I received a similar experience as the other negative reviewers here. She has a tendency to give snap answers that aren't helpful (and frankly aren't necessarily correct) and makes you feel rushed. If I need anything in future I will look elsewhere.

I thought these bad reviews had to be a little exaggerated but they’re not. Jill is outrageously rude and cut me off when trying to discuss my concerns. My entire appointment from speaking with the nurse, seeing the worst ortho in Lexington, to getting back to my car was 11 minutes. Clearly that is NOT enough time to talk to a patient about their concerns. My insurance only covers LMC but I can promise that I will not be returning. I’d rather pay 100% out of pocket than ever see Jill again. From the bottom of my heart, I hope one day she gets treated by someone else the way she treats patients.

Dr. Jill la' Posta was not concerned about my knee injuries in the past. I tried to explain and she cut me off at every sentence. She was really short and rude with me. I walked in the doctors office with pain and after the shot I couldn't hardly walk at all. I expressed to her that the pain was extremely worse and couldnt put any pressure on my right knee. She told me to go home and put ice on it and it would be fine but I was up all night even into the next day I was in extremely pain and can't walk at all. I called the office the next morning and was told they couldn't see me until the following week. I do not recommend her because she was so rude and very inconsiderate. Unfortunately, this provider did not excel in bedside manner or helpfulness during a recent appointment re: my fractured ankle and completely torn ligaments. When asking about the pain (so I could set expectations for the future), this provider told me I must have a low pain tolerance to be in as much pain as I was 2 weeks post-injury. I pushed back on that assumption and she said "I don't know what you want me to tell ya". She explained that many patients are walking with a boot by now (while I’m unable to put any weight on it). The appointment only went downhill from there. I asked “Will the completely torn ligament just grow back on its own.” She said “Yep”. I was scheduled for a “follow up” nearly 3 years later with no improvement/ worsening of the symptoms. The first statement after I explained why this was a “follow up”, was “it’s only been 2 years and 8 months”. She was inconsiderate and disregarded my concerns. The appointment was rushed, nothing was explained and she was not open to exploring other options or routes of treatment. I’m a healthcare provider myself and understood enough to advocate for the proper treatment but I’m afraid many of the people she sees don’t have a clue their options. I’ll be going to a new provider to get proper treatment of an acute injury that has now turned chronic due to lack of care by Jill. I will recommend everyone to not see Jill LaPosta to spare your time, energy and money.
