Jewel-Osco Pharmacy

Special trip to this Jewel location because we were in "The Hood". Jewel has its' Marble Rye Bread, Sliced" in the Deli "stations". The taste of this "House" marble rye is FRESH --- no preservatives taste. To my taste buds it is REAL RYE FLAVOR and worth the special trip. We love Jewel's other bakery fresh breads and they are great --- but we're rye bread lovers and this is it!!

So much better than Walgreens! They can be a little slow to fill prescriptions, but generally the wait in line is almost zero. Use the app the refill prescriptions and everything goes flawlessly. Wish more pharmacies moved this quickly.

I cannot be more impressed by the dedication of this pharmacy’s pharmacist. My insurance changed and required me to change pharmacies from CVS to Osco and I had to leave for a vacation the following day and needed my prescription before leaving. The pharmacist Eric Rittner waited on hold for 30 mins with the staff at CVS to transfer my prescription and managed to fill it for me all before they closed for the night. Eric’s commitment to his patients does not go unnoticed! Cannot recommend this pharmacy enough.

It's ironic that this particular pharmacy has a sign on their partition that says, "The world is short staffed, be kind to those who showed up to work." The sign should actually read, "We are miserable here because the world is short staffed and we will be rude to you and extremely unkind because of our overall life unhappiness." I'm still trying to process what happened to me the last time I had to come to this pharmacy. It was honestly shocking, and I ended up calling two other pharmacies in the area to ask other pharmacy techs and pharmacists if I had been lied too, and yes - I was. I've always had terrible, mind-blowing experiences here. The only staff at this pharmacy who are actually kind are the pharmacy techs, not the actual pharmacists themselves.
