I had been going to Physicians of Family Medicine for about 10 years and had good experiences until I crossed paths with Dr. Stirgwolt. I went in for a regular physical and the moment she walked in the door Dr. Stirgwolt was standoffish and had poor bedside manner. When trying to update her on my medical history it was obvious she was not actively listening. When she would make a follow up statement about something I said she would respond with incorrect information. During the physical I had to beg her to give me a breast exam! I always get a breast exam during my physicals, but it was like she wanted to do everything else but touch me. Additionally, I needed a pap smear and she kept trying to push me into a STD test that was not covered by my insurance that I did not want. I kept telling

I thought this woman was unnecessarily cold and belittling. She had this very unfriendly, fed up demeanor as soon as she walked into the room and rolled her eyes, sighed and said “...okay” in this annoyed tone when I mentioned I thought I might have an infection. (No idea why...but it seemed like a huge inconvenience to her) She made no effort to learn or understand anything about my medical history and seemed to just want to get me out of the door. When I told her I could not handle a full pelvic exam due to trauma, she refused to test me for the infection which could have been done with a simple non invasive swab, all because I dared not to consent to a full pelvic exam due to mental and physical limits. She seemed very annoyed with me because of this, and I felt belittled and demeaned l

Terrible bedside manner, left my daughter that is a new mother and also battling postpartum anxiety in tears and questioning her parenting today due to the way she was talked to and treated. Also did not to do any diagnostic testing despite fevers and respiratory symptoms in both the mother and the child, although the answer would not have changed the treatment approach it could have been useful if later complications developed…I highly suggest not working in the medical field or with human beings if you lack empathy and compassion

Always been a very cold physician with an attitude. I Just reviewed my past labs that she never went over with me. Turns out I was borderline anemic 2 years ago! Luckily I saw Dr. Li this week who actually listened to my complaints and she sent me to the ER for a blood transfusion. I was severely anemic! Possibly could have been prevented had Dr. Stirgwolt actually cared to review my lab work.

Came to see her this morning for a crohns flare up. Came in my room with an attitude off the get go. Told me to tell her what was going and and i did. She then looked at me raised her eyebrow and said "and".. In the most annoyed way ever. She was very unprofessional and rude. Everything i said she had a smart remark to. Then i asked her if she had ever delt with patients with crohns and again in a smart way said no not really. So i left to go elsewhere and received proper care. I did let the front staff know that she was very rude and had a horrible attitude.
