Dr. Mannheimer is absolutely brilliant. Going to see him was the best decision we've made in a very long time. My wife has been looking for someone to give a thorough examination and treatment plan for her neck, back, and jaw pain for over 7 years. MRIs, EMGs, and other diagnostic testing had yielded little information. She had been to several physical therapists before (they always over-promised and under-delivered, unfortunately), as well as every medical specialist you could imagine. We tried everything! Fast forward to our 3 hour consult with Dr. Mannheimer: My wife and I both were so impressed with how thorough Dr. Mannheimer was with the examinations. Comprehensive is an understatement. I’ve seen more than a dozen specialists over more than a dozen years for tooth-jaw pain, and only Dr Mannheimer took the time to figure out what the main problem was. His various poking and prodding showed a deep understanding of what was going on with my muscles and nerves. (He has a Ph.D. in addition to his certificate in physical therapy, and lectures at Columbia.) I’m not sure which of his many suggestions (a special pillow, stretching exercises, better posture, adjusting my work chair) or massages helped the most, but some or all of them eliminated the pain and saved me from an unnecessary tooth extraction.

Dr. Mannheimer, PT, PhD, CCTT is a world renowned neck specialist -- and for good reason. His care, therapy, and sustainment therapy is second to none. The examination lasted several hours most of which was about pressure applied( using fingers) to upper back, neck, jaw and head and i had to evaluate the pain. I was there for my jaw and I walked in without pain in my upper back and neck, but I left with excruciating pain in upper back and neck ( and made everything worse where I already had a pain). I barely could drive home. That extra pain I got from the examination lasted for several weeks.
