I brought my 6 month old son to Dr. Cavanagh today for his well check, whom we have seen since he was born in the hospital and chose to continue care going forward since we liked his demeanor. At the first visit I expressed to him that I was unsure about vaccines at this point in time and we had a nice conversation where he stated that we as parents have the choice. I felt comfortable enough to do my son’s first round of vaccines. Following these vaccines my son had what I thought was a seizure, and then developed a severe case of eczema. The next few appointments and many phone calls later I felt his demeanor change for whatever reason. Dr. Cavanagh, is an incredible doctor—kind, calm, and truly helpful every time we see him. As new parents (and especially as a new mom), when our son gets sick I can feel worried, and Dr. Cavanagh has a way of bringing immediate calm and clarity. From day one—when we first met him in the hospital—my husband loved him. He takes the time to explain what’s important, what to watch for, and how to help our son feel better, without ever making us feel rushed. He’s extremely knowledgeable, patient, and understanding, and we’re so grateful to have him as our child’s doctor. Highly recommend.

Dr. Cavanagh is absolutely amazing! my daughter was born at St Charles Hospital, he has been her pediatrician since day 1 ( literally) and i wouldn't change that for the world. he is absoletely caring, he listens and he is always with a smile and truly cares about his patients even if its for the smallest things. thank you Dr. Cavanagh!!!

Excellent physician! The reviews are quite discouraging because I genuinely believe I could not have found a more competent pediatrician for my child. Many parents I know hold Dr. Cavanagh and his staff in high regard; therefore, please do not be deterred by the unfounded comments. Some individuals tend to complain unnecessarily. Additionally, if you prefer not to vaccinate your child, simply indicate your preference—if your child's safety is being inquired about, respond accordingly. It seems unreasonable to take offense at a doctor's inquiry regarding the child's environment or vaccination recommendations.

Dr. Cavanagh treats all of our children. He has an uncommon level of patience and compassion to go along with his wealth of knowledge and experience. Highly recommend for anyone’s kids!
