I brought my two children for orthodontic consultations after reading about Dr. Chen on Little Red Book, and I’m so glad we made the trip. Upon entering, we were greeted by a cozy sitting area filled with books and business journals, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Meeting with Dr. Chen was a breath of fresh air; he explained everything in a calm and thorough manner. He logically laid out the current issues, their causes, and the recommended treatment approach, making it all clear and easy to understand for someone like me, who’s not familiar with orthodontics. Dr. Chen especially emphasized the urgency of my older son’s situation, which made us realize the importance of beginning treatment promptly. James Chen Orthodontist is a fantastic dentistry. Dr. Chen himself took the time and care to ensure I ended up with a straighter, healthier smile. He’s polite, informative, respectful, and truly dedicated to his work. The front receptionist was always warm and welcoming, making sure I was checked in promptly and being super flexible with scheduling changes or last-minute concerns. Everyone at the office is genuinely friendly, supportive, and creates a very welcoming environment. The clinic itself is clean, sanitary, and overall a pleasant place to visit. Huge thanks to the whole team for turning my frown upside down—highly recommended!

Dr. Chen is very nice. This 1 star is entirely to extremely unprofessional front desk. The front desk cancelled my appointment the day before while I was driving to the Bay Area for 6 hours for this specific appointment. Citing I didn’t respond to text. But I was driving the whole time. This is an absurd policy that I confirmed the appointment several times via email way before the appointment. The front desk is not counting on any of that only saying I didn’t respond to their texts in a 5 hour window. Even worse, the front desk’s attitude is confrontational and arguing with me not allowing me to say my words, nor understanding nor apologizing showing 0 empathy. Dr James Chen and his staff are amazing! My daughter recently had her braces removed and she is so happy to see the wonderful results. Staff is very professional, efficient, and quick to respond when we needed help. Their fees are very reasonable too. We were quoted at other places almost twice as much as what we paid at Dr Chen’s. Thank you 🙏
