I have been going here for 20 years with all four of my children, and I’ve never experienced such professionalism and caring doctors

I was recommended to Dr. McMahon by my aunt 18 1/2 years ago. Have never regretted it. Dr. McMahon is an amazing person. He knows what he is doing and is hands on. He has treated my 3 children with the best care. Dr. Bucca has also treated my kids and she is very good too. I plan for all my kids to stay with Dr. McMahon until they age out. Best pediatrician on the Island.

We've been going to Dr. Mcmahon and Dr. Bucca for over three years now. They were always wonderful and very supportive to me when I became a new mother. But it wasn't until I had a daughter with special needs that Island Pediatrics became such an integral part of our lives. Dr. Mcmahon has gone above and beyond to give the support and care that my daughter needs. He has always been available to us and has set my mind at ease many times over the years with his knowledge and careful attention to detail. Yes, the office is small and a bit outdated ;) However, nothing can compare to the respectful and kind treatment we've received from the staff; I truly cannot recommend a practice so highly and am very grateful to have them as a part of our care team.

I am really trying to give this place a chance as it came highly recommended. The office is small, old and outdated. The staff at first may seem standoffish but honestly, everyone has been nothing but nice to me and my children. Dr. McMahon seems to be very occupied with his laptop once he enters the room. It seems the office is attempting to try and catch up with the times and so is he. My children have been here a few times and I sense zero connection between my children and Dr. McMahon. It's quite awkward honestly. Like a weird silence. My BIGGEST ISSUE with this office is the WAIT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O-M-G!!!! We go for Dr. Bucca. But the front desk staff are rude, short with us, and incompetent. (Can you look me in the eye when talking to me?) The last appointment we were there, I made it extremely clear that we no longer had X insurance and asked that it be taken off our account. Rather than listen to me, the staff billed the old insurance and I got letters from them saying we were no longer covered, etc, etc. I also got separate bills (from another situation) from them that I had no idea what the bills were for. I didn't realize that calling the after-hours line with a question for the doctor would result in them billing my insurance and billing me. It makes sense after they explained it, but the communication is SERIOUSLY lacking in that office and the customer services is more than la
