Intermountain Health Cassia Regional Hospital

Our local hospital has a very good staff the doctors and nurses were awsome for our child birth! Intermountain as a whole though is awful they took forever to make our bill. Then they kept sending us bills with amounts that didnt match up. We called and tried to pay the amount on a bill but then found out the bill was actually $2000 more than any bills we had seen, but they couldn't tell us for what. I asked to have an itemized statement and they never sent one so I called again and they said it would be there in 10 day. When the itemized statement finally showed up we got a letter from a collection agency the same day for that bill. I tried to go into the hospital to sort it out and found out our hospital doesn't even have a billing department and you have to do everything over the phone.

Everything about my cataract surgery has gone well. Dr. Allen is excellent. The staff is really helpful and nice. I recommend him and all he is assigned with.

Went for a checkout and they nurse who helped me seemed like he didnt know what he was doing. He kept bringing up tonsillitis. The attending did not think its tonsillitis.

The crew at the administration desk seemed to be annoyed when I asked for help when I asked for any information on my past visits. Was told to do everything on line or call the main facility. Wasn't pleased with them at all. Creating a patient portal account was more difficult than creating online account for my bank. Now that it's created, it's the last I'll be using it. I just won't remember all the BS information required to get in. The medical staff, on the other hand, is the reason I keep returning for my issues. The only reason for the 4 stars is the ability to surpass the BS, and direct contact with appropriate staff.

Would not disclose the price of x-ray or heavy metals blood test before the procedure, in direct violation of Affordable Care Act and Price Transparency executive orders! Billing department was closed, moved to Philippines and Salt Lake. Called the number but was unable to get prices as CPT # is required but Dr doesn't enter them until the end of the day. Was unable to pay cash in full before I left and will not even get the bill until 6 days later. First lawyers I called had a "conflict of interest", apparently they retain most malpractice attorneys like municipal government retains all the civil lawyers...
