Intensive Specialty Hospital Pierremont Campus

My mother came in at 5 pm and didn’t even see a staff member til after 8 pm when I had to complain. Call light was pressed for nurses station and answered and hung up. No one is friendly nor are they attentive to their patients. I could go on more that’s happened within the first 12 she was even there.

Terrible experience with my wife at this facility. Nurse had really bad attitudes and yelled at my daughter about me, even though I was sitting in the room and she should have addressed me - without her attitude. Physical therapists made little attempt to help my wife in a one-on-one situation. Our 117 pound female sitter could get my wife to sit in a chair that three different male PT’s could not do. They just left and did not come back. They are geared for group therapy where the participants are at a much higher functional level. My wife deteriorated rapidly in this facility. Furnishings were old and stained. Not a good reflection on Willis-Knighton, if It was actually under their control space must be contracted out.

What can I say? I have such admiration for the Managing Director Shawn Reed and the entire staff. They are truly dedicated to ensuring their patients receive the highest quality of care, always striving for excellence. They actively seek feedback from the patients, families and staff to create an environment supportive to the healing process.

I have been a patient of ISH (Intensive Specialty Hospital) since 2/19/24. Tonight will mark my 12th night here. The following ISH employees in nursing, PT, Wound Care, and Phlebotomy, have been first-class and I have nothing but high praises for each one. NURSING: *Melissa Slaughter. She has been a rock for me. She is excellent at listening, empathizing, and taking action. Melissa is the someone that everyone needs when they are in the hospital. She helped minimize some of the stress on me. Melissa is an invaluable member of your ISH team. *Keith Brian/Brian Keith. He is so easy to talk to. He never makes me feel rushed, even though I know he has plenty of other patients he needs to get to. His bedside manner should be the model for all employees. An added benefit is that when others hav
