Integrative Oral Health

I've been coming to this dentist's office since late 2008. It first started with Dr. Kamp and I'm now followed by Dr. Kelly. I'm incredibly lucky to have had both of them as my dentists. They know their job, are excellent communicators, are very human and compassionate and always to try offer the best solution possible, while not hesitating to indicate whether a dental procedure its outside of their area of expertise. The assistants in the office are also fantastic. I don't have good teeth, despite my following all the very useful advice given to me by the staff in the office: it's my genes, I guess. To this end, I'm particularly grateful to Dr. Kelly with a situation I recently encountered. I was overseas for a year, about 5 years ago, and a triple root canal I had done then went wrong,

Ever since I was little, dentil health has been important to me. I have had good dentists, great dentists, & bad dentists. I know the difference. I love this office, for their quick & caring response to me & my loved ones from out of town, & out of the country. And if you are lucky, you get a foot massage to boot. Five stars from me!

Integrative Oral Health is a terrific neighborhood practice of long standing. Their dedicated dentists and hygienists combine up-to-date practice with a “whole-person” approach to dental care. The office staff are friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Dr. Kelly has been wonderful to work with, and the practice has also just brought on two new dentists. I floated around for years among practices in Ithaca but have definitely found the right place for my dental care.

Two days ago my upper front tooth severely broke, leaving a very big gaping hole where a tooth once was. I called Integrative Oral Health, and much to my relief, they arranged an appointment that very afternoon. The loss of the tooth was traumatic for me, and I spent most of the day worrying about the possible outcomes. Turns out those fears were unfounded. At the office Dr. Ira Kamp, my longtime dentist, told me there was enough tooth left, and that he could fill it. “Fill it?” Surprised that a tooth so compromised could be repaired, I asked him what it would look like. “Your tooth,” he replied. He commented to his assistant at the outset that “We’re going to do some art”. And art is exactly what he did. Using what I think was some kind of composite, he proceeded to build a new tooth from
