Inova Specialty is a premier medical facility. I would know because I have been here every day for 3 weeks straight. Everyone has been so sincere, patient, compassionate, and understanding. Hospitals see the worst side of people and to address these high emotions and toiled spirits with kindness. The entire team from top to bottom and bottom to top maintain the same level professionalism and excellence. They provide a safe space to heal and grow for your loved one in the hospital and all the loved ones outside of the hospital. Our son Josh, only 30 years old, has been in and out of multiple hospitals and LTACHs across Virginia over the past several months. None of them have been perfect—every facility has its faults, and INOVA Specialty Select at Mount Vernon was no exception. There were some mess-ups and road bumps along the way with Josh’s care. That said, what stood out most was the heart behind the care. We were incredibly fortunate to always have someone by Josh’s side during the day, and the 4th floor team at this LTACH made sure he wasn’t just another patient—they treated him like a person. The entire staff has been wonderful! Shoutout to Carlos from night shift, Carissa, Rhonda, Sara, Myranda and Toni who all went above and beyond for my care. Had a great outcome and speedy recovery, came on a vent, was weaned off, removed my trach and increased my mobility. Extremely thankful to everyone who has helped me along the way. I wasn’t going to do a review, however since Inova keeps emailing me and asking for a review and a DONATION I thought I would comply. My husband has passed due to their negligence and letting him get septic. I begged and begged for him to be moved to a different hospital and was refused.

Furthermore, the prevalent lack of professionalism among some staffs diminishes the overall standard of care and erodes patient confidence. These issues collectively contribute to increased confusion within the facility, adversely affecting patient outcomes and satisfaction.
