Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital

My mom (Ruby) was here for a little over two weeks and IRH exceeded our expectations. It was clean and bright and had a very comfortable feel. The nursing staff and aides were attentive, she was visited by one or two doctors each day...I felt very comfortable going home in the evening and leaving my mom there. I also was very pleased with the rehab therapy she received. Her OT (Abbey), ST (Hannah), and PT (Noah) were so good, friendly, and patient with her. I cannot recommend IRH enough. Additionally, Jenna (case manager)was great to assist with discharge and home health planning.

My experience at this facility was truly life changing, and I will forever be grateful for the care and support I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, safe, and genuinely cared for. What made this experience so special to me was the incredible staff who went above and beyond every single day. I want to give a very special thank you to Heather, my occupational therapist. She was absolutely tremendous. I loved her so much, and she is so special to me. I even called her my Lamborghini because of how amazing and top tier she is. Mike, my physical therapist, was also outstanding. He was very hands on and helped me take steps, both physically and mentally, toward my recovery. For someone who never thought they would need a rehabilitation hospital and not knowing what you expect, I could not be happier with my stay at Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital. The personnel is kind, mindful and knows how to motivate a patient who’s just plain overwhelmed and scared by a spinal cord injury like mine. I am so proud of myself and I share my rehab success with every staff member I worked with, I do not believe I would be at the point in my recovery that I am without them. From my therapy team, including Kelly (pt), Allison (ot) and Hannah (slp) to my medical team including Dr. Hogancamp to my nursing team including Cathy, Kathy, Erin & Naomi; each played such a big role in my success. I received exceptional care and therapy services here. I was treated with kindness, compassion, and dignity. The nurses, therapists, and CNA’s all are highly skilled and dedicated. I felt very well prepared to care for myself at home after my stay here. I would trust them to care for me again or for a loved one. Thanks to everyone at Indianapolis Rehab of Carmel for their weeks of working with me to get back on my feet and walking. What a great place to rehab. The meals were always tasty. The nurses and CNA's were always available to help with all my personal needs. Day or night it made no difference. My primary therapists Kaylie, Kayla, Roman, and Sara worked me hard and every day and brought me back to where I could function at home. Sabrina was like a beacon of light in the therapy room keeping the mood high and cheering on every one. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs rehab services.
