In & Out Urgent Care - Metairie

I called before I went and spoke with Cynara, she was awesome. She was awesome when I arrived with a broken right index finger. The Dr “provider” did not introduce herself at all with her name, I really didn’t even know it until I was reading the report to my husband. She looked like she was in her pajamas. Her name was Ariel Dias. The Xray tech, Cheyenne Jordan, was not warm and fuzzy but very direct, yes your finger is broken just where you thought it was, points for being direct. It was fast, they did email me my X-rays but I had to call CYNARA to figure out how to access them…… HUGE SHOUTOUT TO THE FRONT DESK CYNARA .. she is the reason this review is a four and not a 2 … peace and love always and forever Brooke Baker

Too long of a wait considering that I have AccessHealth Today & I informed the receptionist of this on a couple of occasions. I had been sitting out in the waiting room for about 35 minutes when a nurse asked the receptionist why I was there or what I needed. She then proceeded to rudely tell me that my paperwork needed to be completed before I was taken to the back. I told her that It wasn't submitted because the receptionist never gave it to me. Once I got the paperwork, I ended up waiting another 30 minutes to even be seen. It truly wasn't an In & Out experience like it should have been. I get there were other people in front of me but Access Health members are supposed to get priority if there there are no other AccessHealtb members in front of them... which there were none. I was seen by a capable person. She is concerned that my symptoms were still there!!! Since I had X-rays last month. Suggested I see my internist this week My low oxygen level in beginning of testing did improve by end of visit. Also mentioned concern about my severe coughing. Thought she was thorough. Gave 4 prescriptions!! Thank you!!

One star is too many. I actually walked out. The lady at the front desk tried to make me pay $40. I explained to her and showed her that my Medicare plan shows no copay and she told me that since it was the first time I went there I had to give the $40. I asked to speak to her boss and she said she was not there and then I asked her to call her and she flat out told me no. I opened the door and asked if anyone in The back was a supervisor and one lady in the bar said she was a “lead” but knows nothing about the front desk. I cancelled my appointment and walked out. I did ask her to show me the policy on where a new patient had to pay $40 and she said no. SCAM ALERT. I went to their website to send an email and there is no contact information on their site. STAY AWAY!!!!

The staff were exceptionally friendly. Casey Saavedra, APRN was thorough in her examination and did a great job on explaining my diagnosis and treatment recommendations.  There was no wait time to be seen and they were able to get x-rays completed and read within 30 minutes. I probably would have waited hours to be seen in the hospital ER on a Sunday. Instead, I had a visit to urgent care, treated there, picked up prescriptions from pharmacy, and back home within 2 hours. I highly recommend this Urgent Care location for emergent needs.
