My 98 year old mom was admitted with stroke. Usually we have good care in ER but this time not, all in the name of we are busy. I was however grateful the aids who were excellent except for one. Then we went to ICU. Excellent Cma who made all the difference. However we had delay of meds which affected her greatly the next day. And I had to get the nurse going on it. I went home that night to sleep and told them call me if any major changes. When I left my mom, she was sitting up and talking and improved. By morning at 8 am I walked into her not responding , in pain and clearly in destress. When I asked, they said “ 100 degree temp “ I kept asking knowing more was going on and white count was up. My husband was taken in to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center by ambulance with heart issues. He received wonderful care from the time he arrived until he was dismissed from the hospital. Lorna Nguutu, MD, was the attending physician upon our arrival. She was very caring and took lots of time with my husband. She asked many questions about his health and showed sincere compassion for him and his condition. Dr. Nguutu was very sincere and kind to me as well. My husband received the BEST care with all of the medical staff, including Dr. Nguutu, Cardiologist Dr. Hagley, PA's, nurses, and nurse aids. They were all very helpful and caring in treating my husband while in the hospital. We left feeling very appreciative and grateful. Thank you HRMC!!

I just Graduated from pulmonary rehab. I have already recognized these 4 individuals but I would like to recognize them again. Judy Diggs, Rhonda Wehling and Ethan Ward were awesome! They are inspirational, knowledgeable and encouraging. So much so that I was willing to drive from Wichita two times a week for the classes. All 3 of these people are great representatives of Hutchinson regional! I would also like to recognize Jorge Semintal in Pulmonary. He takes the time to listen and explain everything for you. I’ve never felt rushed or unimportant. What a great team Hutchinson Regional has in these 4 people! So impressed!

On my first visit Jeff did a very thorough eval and introduced me to the exercises I would use to strengthen my left arm toward normal use. Second visit, Jennifer introduced me to another type of therapy (can't recall name) then worked on/massaged my forearm to release the tightness in the muscles. This was very effective since she is very skilled! I appreciate the efficiency and professionalism I have encountered in this session as well as the previous one several months ago.

I was nervous about becoming a patient at HRMC after hearing nothing but negative reports for the last 41 years. I had a toral positive experience from checking in to being discharged. The staff from house keeping to the doctors was a wonderful experience. If I ever need to be a patient at HEMC in the future, I’ll not have such reservations going there. Patient care was superb
