Huron Oaks Partial Hospitalization Program and Transitional Clinic

A little late to be posting this, but I've been here twice, once pre-rehab and once post. Alison, dr ryan, Brian, and everyone else are so so amazing and are a huge part of why I'm still here today . Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews but parents if you're reading this and the other reviews, the only reason this place is lowly rated is because their kids most likely not putting the work in. Yeah it's gonna suck if you're stuck in a hospital being forced to get better but if you but the work in it's actually kinda fun. Foods also sosososo good lol good for picky eaters. They've got a pool table, puzzles, word searches, music therapy and more :))

The support I received was much needed. I was able to add some coping tools, pause from daily activities that were overwhelming at the time, and there was a connection where I had been feeling isolated and completely abandoned. My therapist coordinated a transition back to my daily life but with extra support. I am so grateful we have partial as an option.

Dr. Ryan should find a new specialty to practice, like podiatry. She diagnosed my son on the second day and tried to prescribe antipsychotic medications. Then on the third day she decided she made a mistake and told us he doesn't need to take antipsychotics. Then a few days later she decides he may need it again. She essentially diagnosed my son with a different diagnosis daily. My son was jerked around so much he didn't know which end was up by the time he left this day program. I feel he was worse off after attending this program than before he started. I regret ever taking my child to this clown.

They told my daughter that they didnt believe she could handle the program bc of her disability (head injury and autism) . It was very disgusting. Dont go to this place . Run!!! They were very rude and the guy who met with us was very inappropriate to my daughter and i wanted to run and get us both out of that meeting . They basically called my daughter slow from the time she answered the phone before even meeting her and in the meeting . They were very unprofessional !

staff shared with my parents things i had said in confidentiality. they did not give me discharge paperwork, even after being asked for it again and again over many months. not to mention the staff had no idea what they were doing and did not help me at all (besides the psychiatrists). huge waste of time.
