Houston Heart - Med Center

Dr. Poder is my father’s cardiologist and he is hands down one of the best doctors he’s seen. His bedside manner is amazing. He’s very attentive and explains everything that he’s doing or needing to do. He’s also bilingual which is great for my Spanish speaking father. I would 100% recommend Dr. Podet to anyone needing a cardiologist.

5/23/24 My brother started seeing Dr. Loyolka to perform open heart surgery, (he was referred by a Beaumont Dr) He ordered a scan to see if he could perform the surgery with stents or balloon through the leg. Once he received the scan, it was determined he had too much scar tissue behind his heart. Dr. Loyolka referred him to another colleague Dr. Eyal Porat. 6/28/24 my brother had an appointment with Dr. Eyal Porat (both Drs knew he had 95% blockage). Dr Porat said they would contact my brother to have the surgery. Knowing the importance of my brother having this surgery he procrastinated until my brother eventually died. My brother Kerry Segura (was his name) died on July 6, 2024 in the early am, asking for help. Dr. Porat’s office called on 7/18 @ 1:41 pm I guess to schedule m

HCA - Houston Heart Staff was very polite, respectful ad expressed genuine concern about my health. They addressed me by name and made me feel welcome.

Office staff and nurse were very nice and helpful. Dr. Kumar was also nice but I do wish he would have explained things better and not be so rushed.

Staff excellent but doctor was dismissive. I would not recommend this place.
