Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health

I will never recommend anyone to go to hometown urgent care here in Barberton. My father-in-law was having high blood pressure issues. The nurse Practitioner and receptionist were absolutely rude. Before we were done with registration paperwork, the nurse practitioner came up to me and said we’re just gonna refer him to the ER and I don’t write any prescriptions. I asked her just to run an EKG and she questioned me as why she would run an EKG if she’s just going to send him to the ER. I told her because I needed to know if he was in a fib or anything else happening His heart other than high blood pressure she then again tried to steer me out of the building by telling us that he had a copayment, which at the time we did not care, we cared more about his health. Dr. Jeff is absolutely AMAZING!! came in for an ear infection that is so bad if i didn’t come in sooner it would’ve went to my brain. He answered all my questions and educated me so much on everything i wanted to know! i HIGHLY recommend this place. He was so so kind and honestly the NICEST doctor i’ve EVER been seen by. Most Dr.s just tell you what’s wrong, give u meds and leave. he stayed for 15 mins HAPPILY answering any and all of my questions and worries!!

The front receptionist was super patient and helpful. When I got to the back the aide was super rough giving me my Covid test, the CNP Jennifer Heller was very rude. She questioned why I had certain medication without asking me my health history first! She also is very unsanitary she used the same tool for my ears and touch my nose with it without cleaning. She barely listened to me. She was very rude! Rushed me! And I will be sure to complain to higher up about her.

Staff and provider were amazing.Probably one of the best experiences i've had especially being sick!.. Fast efficient and straight to the point. With a little laughter as well.. I was instantly feeling better with my experience there before I even had the medications that was prescribed to me... Would also like to add.. making an appointment online was super easy my wait time was next to nothing when I arrived.

I have been sick and my pcp didn't have any appointments. I made and an appointment online with Hometown Urgent Care. I arrived, had a short wait time before being called back. Once called back they were thorough and quick. Definitely will be recommending. All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
