I love optum! After moving across the country and needing a whole new team to help with my autoimmune condition and getting started on a new medication, optum has been great the whole time. My med was one that involved infusions at home (I had the NICEST and most considerate nurse, Lucinda) and then switched to at home injection pens, which involved filling through the specialty pharmacy. Both sides were so helpful and considerate. Even one time I misfired my last injection right before I was traveling out of town, and they worked with me to ship more where I was going ASAP. The around clock pharmacy/pharmacist has been a life saver for me on multiple occasions. And to top it off, they even sent me a birthday card 🥹. I have been nothing but impressed with Optum so far ♡

Originally liked OptumRx service but recently I was left 3 weeks without my insulin due to a question OptumRx had for my doctor who OptumRx claimed they could not reach and then they canceled my script. The doctor send another script and the same sequence of events happened resulting in OptumRx canceling that script too! Finally I had my doctor send my prescription to Walgreen pharmacy and I got my insulin the next day! Insulin is a critical medication and I cannot believe OptumRx could not fill it especially because I've been on it for two years and OptumRx filled it in past. Their actions have possibly set me back on progress I was achieving with lowering my A1C not to mention basic Diabetes treatment.

I have 25 percent of my heart left. I called optum rx 3 times to find out where the medication was to enlarge my arteries so my blood could get through.. I have been lied to all 3 times. They blame it on the mail odd, because I needed 3 medications expedited 2 I received the next day, yet they didn't bother to put the 3rd one in the envelope. I use mail in due to the fact there is no other way to get my medication. I feel like I am just a number. Maybe I am. I feel like they don't care if their patients die

If I could give 0 stars I would. Optum has horrible customer service reps and they do not communicate with eachother. They lied to me for an entire week saying my medication was out for delivery and they provided no tracking info and my medication never showed up. After I called again someone said oh it’s not been sent. Extremely dissatisfied as this medication is nessisary. Due to optum rx I have missed 3 weeks of work and been lied to.

I gave them a one star because you can't give zero or a negative star. They think they know more than your doctor, will deny everything at least once, have a call center that will only read out of their script book and never directly answer a question. Had I known that UHC owns them I never would have chosen AARP UHC as my plan D provider. It won't happen again.
