Holyoke Medical Center

The staff were super friendly. They took great care of both my daughter's while we were waiting offering the younger one crayons and a coloring book. My ooder daughter recived her monthly friend and they asked around and found her what she needed while we waited super great staff.

I needed to leave a big thank you to every level of staff from the reception to triage, all the way to being seen by doctor and for emergency room wait time, i was taken immediately and got out in time to return home by bus, on a Saturday! In fact each time in the last few years when of necessity needed to go, they've always been excellent. When i saw the low rating for this excellent hospital and emergency room overall, i was shocked! This is absolutely not true; and i wonder if the ones leaving low marks come in with an attitude. (I have witnessed first hand some patients entering emergency room and their rude and arrogant behavior has shocked me!) Even if in excruciating pain, a little kindness wouldn't kill you as the old saying goes. So, this is my 2 cents to say this is one of the b

I am so surprised at the low reviews this wonderful facility is getting! I have been here from cardiology check ups, stress tests, blood work, to orthopedic services and every single experience has been wonderful. A lot of people get frustrated because of the kiosk check ins due to lack of technology knowledge, but I appreciate their system and the entire staff is all courteous, helpful, and understanding. Knowledge is key and their doctors are superb. I trust everyone here with my medical care and it is such a relief for someone with serious medical anxiety. Thanks to all for everything you do. You make this community such a beautiful experience ✨️ ❤️

If I could give this hospital zero stars, I would. I have never felt so dismissed and invalidated regarding my pain and medical concerns. Despite arriving early, I watched multiple patients who checked in after me get triaged and seen quickly, while I was left waiting for hours with no explanation. The lack of urgency and compassion was alarming, and staff appeared disengaged, at times even gossiping about patients, which was extremely unprofessional. I waited over four hours for an X-ray and then an additional hour to speak with a doctor, who never came to explain the results. Due to the complete lack of communication and professionalism, I ultimately walked out. This facility used to provide quality care, but over the years it has significantly gone downhill. I had a very positive experience in the Emergency Room recently (1/20/26 p.m.). Thanks to Dr. Tor Krogius and the entire team for providing such competent and compassionate care. Holyoke Medical Center is a welcome community resource.
