Holladay Dental completely exceeded my expectations! After years and years of neglecting my teeth after a horrible experience at a different dentist office, I had such a fear that prevented me of going to the dentist. I dreaded my appointment but it was an emergency due to a crown falling out and having exposed teeth that were sensitive. The second I arrived and greeted the front desk, it was such a pleasant experience. There was an issue with my insurance, but the gal at the front confirmed with me that they did some digging and figured everything out (which really meant a lot that I didn’t have to it myself) I had practically zero wait time before the tech came and got me. I can't believe I've waited this long to leave my review of Holladay Dental Studio. I was born & raised in SLC and was a patient here for a few years when I lived in the Holladay area. I was in college at the time (~2020), and had my routine cleaning appointment, where the dentist told me I had 7 cavities despite religiously brushing twice a day and flossing regularly. Not knowing any better I scheduled the appointment to have them filled without asking any Qs, or getting a 2nd opinion. During said appointment, everything seemed to be going as planned until the very end, where the dentist stopped and told me I was actually going to need a crown because the decay was so bad that he had to drill off most of my tooth (back molar). A beautiful office, incredibly kind staff, and a seamless comfortable experience. I recently had my first appointment with Holladay Dental and was treated by Megan and Dr. Goodell. I was extremely impressed with their thoroughness, attention to detail, and open communication about treatment plans, needs, and pricing plans available. They thought of everything to make the visit so enjoyable. As a realtor in the area I love finding new businesses that I can continue to share with my clients and network and know they will be taken care of! Looking forward to my next appointment (said no one ever lol! )

They were really nice, but tried to convince me I needed a root canal the first time I was there. They even offered to give me the root canal same day, and charge me a large amount out-of-pocket. I got a second opinion from a dentist I trusted, who let me know I absolutely did not need a root canal. Beware of malpractice and up charging from these guys.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Carmody and dental hygienist Lacey! From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The office has such a warm, homey feel — nothing like the typical cold, clinical vibe you might expect. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, and the comforting atmosphere made a huge difference, especially since I usually have a lot of dental anxiety. Lacey was incredibly gentle and kind during the cleaning and really took the time to make sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Dr. Carmody was just as wonderful — he explained my treatment plan thoroughly, answered all my questions, and never made me feel rushed. I truly felt listened to and cared for. The amenities designed for patients with dental anxiety were a game-changer
