Hillsborough County Nursing Home

For a Nursing Home, this is a clean, fun-filled place that serves decent food and smells as clean as it is! They should be proud of this, as other places that cost much more are no better whatsoever. For example, Courville @Manchester is short-staffed, while it has a bad smell that I attribute to the carpeting and overall staffing! a lifelong friend just returned home after two-plus months there, a different man, High marks for this place, and thank you for the fine care you give to the low-income elderly!

My dad was there for 6 weeks. They took very very good care of him. 85 % of the staff were attentive, scrupulous, gentle and kind. They have a lot of caring people there, I think most of them are real life angels. Dad even liked a bunch of the food. That says a lot! Since my dad’s medical condition make him not want to eat. We had another family member in the HCNH 8 years ago and lot of the same people cared as lovingly for her. If you can not be cared for at home, I highly recommend the Hillsborough County Nursing Home. I love it and if I ever need to go to a home, I will love to go there. THANK YOU !!!! My family and my dad are extremely grateful to you, the wonderful staff !!!!!!

I visited a friend there this week. She hasn’t been there long, so is still trying to adjust. I was only there about an hour total, but I counted 4 hugs my friend received from staff members! They were so sincere, and conveyed their love & caring to my friend. It was beautiful! I have visited lots of people in nursing homes through the years, and haven’t ever seen this kind of caring before. You are all to be commended!

My grandmother had been in the rehab center for 3 weeks for a broken hip. the care was great, followed all doctors orders, and they were great with her needing to go to outside appointments. they helped her gain her independence back! thoughtful nurses and great activities and games for the residents. the only complaint was the food my grandmother said was pretty horrible. but they allow you to have your own snacks and can bring food in from the outside. thank you again Hillsborough county rehab!

It’s clean. The place is organized. They love the residents. Fix it list. 1. Nurses not answering call bells. 2.supervisors properly handling complaints. 3.morning shift sitting down for 30mins-1hour not answering bells. Other then the three things above this is a great place with so much love. If you bring your loved one here mention these three things and maybe we can make this a 4 star or even five star place. Thank you!
