Hillsboro Post Acute

Brought my grandpa here for therapy after he said he wanted to try it rather than go home on hospice. Unfortunately he declined quickly so we moved him home on hospice but the facility worked with hospice to make it happen on short notice over the weekend. The facility met expectations, we as his family tried to be there as much as possible, especially during meals to help feed him which I would encourage everyone to do if you have a loved one in a nursing facility. Too many people dump their family in these places and only show up to complain about their care occasionly.

We had our mama here for a short stay after her surgery, and all in all, it was a good experience. The therapy folks were real kind and worked hard to get her back on her feet. Most of the nurses were attentive and helpful, though there were a couple shifts where things felt a little slow. Her room was clean, and the place didn’t have that strong nursing home smell like you sometimes expect. The food was alright. Some meals she enjoyed, other times she just picked at it, but they were good about offering something else if she didn’t want what was on the tray. The building’s a little older, but it feels homey. It wasn’t perfect, but they sure did care. We’d definitely keep this place in mind if any of us need care again down the road.

Zero stars wasn't an option, so I had to give Hillsboro Post Acute Care one star to write a review. DO NOT place your loved ones here . The place is dirty, cramped, in poor repair, and understaffed with nurses who refuse to answer any questions or concerns. Since being transferred to long term care, they have moved my mom four times, each time to a more and more cramped room , this time I found all of Mom's personal belongings such as family photos and special gifts from loved ones, things that make her room seem "home like" in a pile on her shared closet floor. While visiting Mom last week, a nurses aid assisted mom's roommate to the toilet, where he proceeded to pull the roommates pants down, and remove her depends to set her on the toilet with the bathroom door open, three or four fee

Therapy is the best. They were constantly trying to get me out of here and were invested in my health. Wish the other services were as good.

Therapy is great. Nursing and the assistants are also really helpful. The food is good too.
