I have been coming to Highest Potential Therapy as an undergraduate volunteer and working with Amy Oettle. Amy is absolutely amazing with kids, parents, volunteers, students, horses, you name it! I have worked with Amy with multiple different clients and have seen so much progress and growth in all of them. I think that Amy does a great job connecting with parents and providing parent education before, during, and after sessions so parents are aware of how OT and hippotherapy are helping their child, and I’ve heard many grateful and positive feedback from parents and caregivers. Amy also makes OT fun for the clients! Clients enjoy playing games, making crafts, and learning horseback riding all while improving gross and visuomotor skills, fine motor skills, core strength, emotion regulatio

Highest Potential Therapy is the place to go for utilizing equine movement as a treatment tool for occupational therapy. Amy is very knowledgeable and works relentlessly to provide fun and engaging sessions to target a variety of factors pertaining to each individual child’s goals. Susie, the horse handler, is excellent at managing the horses, being able to read them, and exposing them to all the activities to ensure maximal safety in sessions. In my short time here, I have seen clients with joyous smiles on their faces as they engage in meaningful occupations and have stated that they can’t wait to come back the following week. This facility is equipped with multiple opportunities for implementing sensory integration strategies and developing a healthy learning environment. I would recomm

I have greatly enjoyed watching Amy’s occupational therapy sessions. She has successfully combined her passion for working with individuals with special needs with her love of horses. Amy is well prepared with themed therapy tasks that she modifies to accommodate each child’s need. Amy is extremely clear in her expectations for the children and desires for them to complete tasks as independently as possible. I know that both of these things boost each child’s self-confidence. Susie, the horse handler, communicates clearly to the horses and this allows the sessions to be completed smoothly. The horses are trustworthy, gentle, and kind with each child. I am amazed with how well the children perform and know it is a result of Amy’s skill as well as through the use of horses as a treatment too

At highest potential therapy you are welcomed into an environment of exploration and smiles. Amy, the occupational therapist and staff are friendly and their main goal is to ensure success in every client. Amy is very knowledgeable and takes occupational therapy to a very creative level by creating weekly themes adjusted for every child’s goals. Children are exposed to activities both outdoors and indoors that help develop everyday skills such as cognitive and social skills. Parents mention they love seeing the progress in their children and are fascinated by the benefits of hippotherapy and by the caring and gentle horses. I highly recommend this place, go check it out!

Amy is an amazing occupational therapist! She is truly dedicated to helping individuals with special needs and their families. The use of horses as a treatment tool provides such a unique experience for the children that they cannot receive from a typical clinic setting. Susie, the horse handler, is the best at what she does. She and Amy always prioritize the safety of the children. I have witnessed the most extraordinary improvements from children as a result of the services they receive- not to mention the beautiful facility!
