Hickory House Nursing Home

I recently visited my aunt at Hickory House Nursing Home and had a very positive experience. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The facility was clean and well-maintained, which made me feel comfortable knowing my aunt is in a safe environment. Everyone I encountered was professional, attentive, and kind. It’s clear that they truly care about their residents. I’m very grateful for the level of care and respect they show to the people who live there.

There is some absolute wonderful and caring people on there staff. The coordinator and the drivers for appointments and transportation does an outstanding job and really cares for the patients and their families. My wife’s aids and nurses were like family taking care of her. My wife’s therapist have her on the way to continue with normalcy going forward at home and her activities outside the house. There’s one word that comes to mind as we became familiar with the staff and them with us it’s compassion. You know who you are and I thank you from my heart.

My Mom has been there for almost a week and has very positive feedback. In particular she is very pleased with the quality of the food, a huge improvement from what she has had at Heatherwood. The physical therapy is good and she is getting up and moving. She said the staff is wonderful and skilled.

The staff that we interacted with yesterday were the best that I have met since my sister has been a resident there @ Hickory House. Even my sister was happier yesterday. Too bad the other staff we’ve met were not as welcoming and attentive.

My grandfather stayed there about a month and a half ago two months ago At first, it was good. My grandpa had a release date but something got misconstrued over medical and also we were moving him into a new place. We told them that so we can make sure he’s comfortable in his new home and has everything he needs. They had an issue with that. I understand that! Now come to the pick up date. We pick him up push him in the wheelchair to the car. We noticed he defecated himself that was on their watch we called the nurses out there and told them they said there’s nothing they can do because he’s been discharged. They couldn’t change him so we asked them to put him in the car since he defecated himself on their watch. they had an issue with that had an attitude about that they did end up puttin
