Viola went above & beyond with GREAT customer service. My 85 yr old friend needed an eye exam which was covered by her insurance under community care. Viola and I had several calls back/forth for 3 days to make this appointment happen. She was always courteous & kind. She made sure everything was in order to assure Sally's experience went smoothly. From the time I wheeled Sally in the door, the exam, picking out glasses and then the wrap out, Viola was OUTSTANDING. She would be a big reason to return to Herslof. Thank you, thank you very much Viola for all you did.

Everyone is so sweet and professional here. Will definitely be back next time I need an eye exam or glasses.

Unfortunately, the problem at Herslof lies with the higher-ups at corporate. Herslof has screwed me over two years in a row, leaving me in a pair of glasses that I cannot see out of! They don’t care at all. I’ve been to four of the locations and they all say the same thing — speak with the supervisor at corporate. I have left several several voicemails for Tammy at the corporate office and she has never, not once, returned any of my calls. So unfortunately, all locations are affected by the very poor management of the Herslof business! I recently ended up going somewhere else that did not accept my insurance so I paid completely 100% out-of-pocket but it was worth it to be able to see again. I went to the Saukville location due to them being close to where I live and after seeing Herslof had been in business for so many years. And after receiving a recommendation from someone my brother knows that used to work there. Well, I couldn’t have had a worse experience if I tried. My appointment was at 11:15, didn’t get seen until well after noon. Doctor was very unprofessional. They didn’t take my glasses to get a baseline reading until well after him starting the exam. I tried explaining things about my right eye to him and he either didn’t listen or seem to care. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I’m worried that my prescription may or may not even be correct.

Every time we go here for a new glasses script for my daughter we are given a colossal runaround. I've taken her out of school on two occasions only to be told that they can't accept our insurance because they don't have a computer connection to look things up. We have to leave our card info with them and they are supposed to call on the phone to verify coverage. Needless to say this doesn't happen without a lot of extra calls and reminders to them. On top of that the woman at the counter is typically gruff, if not outright frosty with us. Even when the store has no other customers she acts as if we're imposing on her time.
