I was a little nervous because of the bad reviews, but they are awesome here. I called ahead and they were able to squeeze me in same day when my dog got sick, and we were a new client too as we had just moved to the area. Dr. Kim and Dom were so gentle and sweet with my dog, and Dr. Kim is so knowledgeable! Eased my worries right away. I appreciate they don’t jump to the most expensive thing right away like some other vets do, and they asked a lot of clarifying questions. They even offered a sanitary trim on my dog which was very appreciated! Wait time was a little long, but I was a last minute schedule so totally understandable and they were so so nice about it! Reanna was also so helpful on the phone. Very happy this is our new neighborhood clinic!

Honestly, I don't want to complain too much cause it's clear the staff is so underpaid they dgaf. But I sincerely wouldn't come here if it weren't so close to me. They consistently drop the ball on reviewing records and giving informative information. There seems to be a rotating crew of Drs cause they can't keep staff and the management must be not so great cause they're bad at scheduling both their staff and their appointments. They are never on time. I've had them cancel my appointment ten minutes beforehand because too many techs called out. The price suddenly changed on me cause they've been apparently misleading my dogs librella and nail trim for like a year or more. I've been here when the staff was freaking out at the front desk because they had apparently sent the pet morgue a do

About ~5 years ago this place was very good, but now it should really be avoided. It was bought out by private equity or some conglomeration and the quality of care has gone down while the prices have gone *way* up. Doctors come and go, and you can't request any particular one, so you can't build a relationship. Care has become very assembly-line. For example, they insist on owners being out of the room when giving shots--what? They have also started up-selling in a way that seems possibly criminal. $2000 for a routine spay? You can get it done for literally a tenth of that at any number of clinics. My friend brought his dog there recently with diarrhea and they tried to charge him $700 for the visit! E.g., for IV fluid--totally unnecessary since the dog was drinking water and was basical

So here’s the thing…I brought my cat for a wellness visit that’s advertised at $25 for first visit however I understand that if something comes up it may be extra. He had an ear infection which I would need to have the remnants In the ear tested that way the proper meds can be prescribed. However once we found out what his diagnosis was it sky rocketed to $257 so I asked for what and it was explained for the medication and I was being forced to get something else I didn’t ask for to prevent ticks (he has none) etc meanwhile my cat is indoor and has never stepped foot outdoors. I felt forced to pay and come up with this money. That mention of payment options on the website is a LIE and were given none even when I appeared a bit distraught at this unexpected cost however I felt I had NO op

Someone asked me about Heart of Brooklyn recently. This experience happened a while ago, but I feel a bit compelled to tell people why I would avoid this place. I had used HoB prior to this and had had a decent experience. It is close to my apartment, so it was extremely convenient that I could walk there is just a few minutes. For several weeks my cat had been struggling to eat. I took him to HoB. I was told (correctly) by the vet that he had developed a tumor. I asked what I should do and the vet gave extremely confusing advice. I was told maybe my cat could live for a while, maybe not. I was told to take my cat to a vet in Manhattan. The vet was not able to tell me when or how I would know to put my cat down. The vet did offer to come to my apartment to put my cat down and I could pa
