HearingLife of Richmond VA

This is the office in Richmond on Patterson Rd. My first appointment was very good, I was given beneficial information that I never received from my original audiologist/Dr. We verified that the appointment was free and it was,so that was plus. The only issue was the computer was down so I was advised to return on Monday evening @ 5:15pm. We asked about the time because my husband had to work that evening but since the doctor requested a close family member's presence, he left early. However, so on Monday we arrived at the office at 5:07pm and at 5:09pm I headed to the door for my appointment and the door was locked with the TV off and lights out. I was so pissed since I didn't live on that side of town and it was a waste of time. So I called the answering service and advised them

I live about 40 miles from Hearing Life. The friendly atmosphere, the professional care, and the fact that they I can hear so much better makes the trip well worth it!

I'm not happy with the over $4k hearing aids purchased here several years ago. In defense of Hearing Life, I'm not comfortable with anything in my ears for extended time periods. I've made my spouse angry by not using these things that I despise so much. I don't know if there is a suitable solution for someone like me. I submit this honest review to advise anyone looking for a hearing solution to do the most homework possible prior to seeing any hearing establishment. Also, if you are a veteran, seek VA assistance first.

Did not feel as if I was being "heard" by staff. Wanted to provide services that I did not want rather than being responsive to what I was requesting. I am having problems with a hearing aid on which the warranty is expiring. They "fixed" it only to have the problem resume in short order. (With no explanation of what they had done or what I could do myself in the future) I had been referred here by my hearing life provider in Raleigh who went above and beyond to help me anytime I had hearing aid issues, not so here. Also claimed I had significant wax build up which had been cleared on December 31. Seeing a new provider this week to get a second opinion.
