Healthcare & Rehab Center Sanford

My brother was in there for a few weeks of rehab. The place was clean,staff was very friendly. He said the food was not bad. The patient could sign out and go outside with a family member and get sunshine and fresh air. The rehab department was very good on getting my brother back on his feet and more stable to go home. The counselor, and management staff were very good, answering any questions I had. This is not a 5 star hotel. But the services they offer help people.

Yesterday, while visiting a family member, I watched a young lady named Shameka in the Activities Department working with a few residents to make pink ribbons. It was such a sweet and thoughtful moment to see them smiling and chatting together. A few minutes later, she passed the ribbons out and quietly stepped away. Then, I suddenly heard the most touching poem playing — it said, “They stand with me on my journey to fight breast cancer.” It instantly brought tears to my eyes. You never know what someone is going through or where a message of hope might come from. That small act of kindness meant more than words can say. Shameka has a beautiful heart and a special gift for bringing comfort and inspiration to others.

As a Patient of Healthcare & Rehab Centers Sanford, Had a bad situation were roommate would not allow them to take care of his wounds that were smelling horribly had a visitor who came in and only stayed 3mins. Andreas a nurse came in cleaned up the bed and patient making my stay bare able. Thank you Andreas

I am not sure where all these great reviews come from . I was looking for a place for my parent and I just read all the great reviews and decided to take a look. As you walk in the building you are greeted by receptionist on left and hallways to the right and left , passing all of the offices and shower rooms , which were filthy , diapers and clothes scattered around, wet towels and the smell of mildew and poop asulted by nose. As I walked I heard what I assumed CNAs screaming at each other using profanity and racial slurs , the desk phone was ringing and what I assumed were staff on their cellphones sitting at the desk and no one was answering the phone or paying attention to the residents sitting at the tables , there was a garbage bag full of filthy diapers on the floor next to

They neglected my mother she had a severe bad infection coming from the hospital they were supposed to be giving her antibiotics for it and cleaning her wound they didn't.. it gotten so bad that her bone was showing ... And now she is gone she passed away yesterday at 3:14 a.m. February 5th, 2026 I do not recommend this place for anybody's loved ones.... Horrible place.....
