Health Matters Urgent Care

This practice is a wonderful asset to our community! Dr. Monseau is a very knowledgeable and experienced practitioner. She and her staff are efficient and thorough. I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this practice to everyone.

Last week of February I was prescribed an antibiotic I was allergic to, the doctor was a redhead female 50+ years old, she was too busy ranting and raving about malpractice to listen to me. She also informed me I would die in route to Keyser Emergency room in front of my husband and young school aged child, I refuse to visit/drive further away to Cumberland's medical Center. I was argued with for knowing how my body reacts to medications and different illnesses, I was ordered to follow up with a primary physician. FUN FACT A SPECALIST MUST TEST AND TREAT for a Neuromuscular disease. I advised who my neurologist is and he was in with Ruby Medical in Morgantown WV, she rolled her eyes and laughed at me. Unlike some of these reviews. I showed up with my ID and insurance card paid my copay. Was seen within 15 mins was leaving 45 mins after showing up. This isn't my first visit & I've been treated with courtesy and respect each time. They even followed up two days later. They will be my first choice always.

I don't understand why this business is called "Health Matters". As soon as you get to the window they have a giant red sign that notes they cannot help you if you have a severe headache, chest pains, shortness of breath, severe weakness along with about 8 more symptoms that you will be referred to the ER for. The lady that checked me in was very nice and respectful but the older lady who called me up was very obnoxious and did not care about any type of privacy since you could hear every word she spoke loudly from the back window to the front door. She was very short and not welcoming at all. As soon as I told her I was new to the area and did not have insurance she made me feel as if i didn't matter. I understand if the business cannot treat without payment if you have no insurance, but
