I cannot even begin to describe the experience I had here. I was visiting from out of town and injured my knee. When we first arrived, we were shuffled to an open area of the waiting room, this area was approximately 10x12 with at least 8 chairs all facing each other, no dividers, no privacy whatsoever. I witnessed a patient with an IV bag hanging from a clip on the wall, another patient who had collected her urine sample and handed it off to the tech, who was not wearing gloves, and then he proceeded to pour the urine (bodily fluids) into a vial at his computer area, no sink to wash his hands, no gloves, nothing. Every person in this area was interviewed by the staff and the attending physician in front of everyone! There was no HIPAA protection at all, no privacy, no respect of a person'
My husband was in a fib and had been for a couple of days. He told me he needed to go to the hospital. The closest hospital, since they tore down Rockledge Regional, is Viera hospital by Health First. After waiting over an hour and a half, we saw people come in after us and go back. After waiting an hour and forty five minutes, my husband finally got someone to do an ekg on him. After almost two hours, we're still waiting, but wait, someone came up to us and said they need to get blood work in the waiting room. I can honestly say that this is utterly ridiculous and Extremely unprofessional. We finally made it back. And we sat around for a little bit and then they had to do another e.K g. It took a while, and then we got to see a P.A.. for those that don't know what a P.A. is, It's a ph
Took my daughter to the ER with pain. I know it takes a while to see patients, but no one came by for almost an hour. Right off the bed when we were waiting, we noticed blood spatter on the partition, so obviously they don’t even take the time for the care to properly clean after a patient has left . I wish I would’ve taken a picture. Didn’t even see the doctor. The nurse asked if we seen anybody and we told her no still nobody came by. They did do a urine sample, that was done out in the waiting room, when the nurse came to collect it in the back waiting for a dr she didn’t ask if they could get my daughter any pain meds, or her condition. We asked an ETA and she said, “ I don’t know how long it’s gonna take” and she must’ve heard us over saying that we are going to leave and she goe
I wish I'd read the reviews before we came here. It's like a 3rd world country charging 1st world prices. Patients are in ER halls waiting for beds. Go somewhere else! The staff is adequate, but it's more crowded than a Costco the day before Thanksgiving. To make it worse, your nurse disappears and there's no way to call her because you're in a HALL. Then, if you go to the wrong section trying to get help, they get angry at you, even though you've been told to go there. (Whatever you do, don't point out the nurses sitting on their phones looking at pictures or shopping; that really pisses them off.) There's absolutely no excuse for the chaos in the ER and sticking patients in a HALL. Yes; a hospital closed and Viera is overbuilt. But, this is simply bad management and worse supervis
We were taken in immediately due to a serious medical condition.tests and results were done in record time and staff was super friendly and helpful. It was suggested my husband stay overnight for test done in the morning and that we would wait for a room . 3 hours later we were moved from one hall to another where my husband would remain at least for the night until tests were done the next day. My husband has many health issues and had none of his meds, no comfortable bed in a room. He was left at 11 PM in a hall where patients passed all evening.. very depressing for my husband and thinking of discharging himself so he can sleep in a bed and get his tests done somewhere else.
