Health First's Cape Canaveral Hospital

A week or so before Christmas I was having problems breathing. At 3am they were fantastic from what I remember. The next day I had a tube down my throat, hooked up to a machine and tube etc. The nurses that took great care of me in my ICU 2 plus day visit were the best ever. Areatha went above and beyond explaining to me what was going on. Jim and Natalie were super good nurses asking me many questions. The food was delicious and I feel good.

I was in the ER a couple nights ago after experiencing severe abdominal pain. My nurse was Gabby and she was absolutely amazing. She and the lab techs are the only reason this review gets more than 1 star. The NP that was assigned to me was Heather Capps. This woman was so standoffish and short with both my husband and I. She treated me like I was a nuisance. Told me I tested positive for RSV and that my bloodwork and CT scan were normal. Upon getting home and reviewing my labs and scans, I could see that my bloodwork and urine clearly showed how dehydrated I was, which should have cued NP Capps to give me fluids, which she did not. My CT scan showed that I have a 5.7 cm cyst on my left ovary - which I TOLD her the pain was on the left and she wrote it in my chart. All she told me was my

Space Coasts best hospital and staff! Plus, epic views from hospital rooms of the gorgeous Banana Lagoon. I love seeing dolphins on their morning routines! ICU took great care of my sister, the only thing I'd change is how quickly she was released to Kindred Hospital; On top of the fact my sister did not get the treatment she needed while at Kindred, actually the exact opposite -she even coded!!! Thank God she is no longer at Kindred and back at a real hospital.

I was in the e.r today 3/7/2026 I was involved in a motor vehicle accident Pryor to my arrival i had to stop at community credit union and made a withdrawal of 1000.00 i felt it was safe to be on my person instead of locking it up in my truck. I was wrong as I was being examined it came up missing along with the nurse that was examining me. I notified security shr could not be found o filed a report with security. They accused me of lieing even after I proved I had the money on me. That hospital is full of thieves I will notify the sheriff's office a file a complaint with them I would not trust that hospital with any of your personal belongings they did and will steal from you.

The staff at the hospital including the nurses and doctor all deserve a 5 star rating. The one star is because I was advised to get a second opinion on my hip X-rays and was given the names of several orthopedic surgeons but none would look at my xrays. I would have appreciated it if the doctor had made an appointment to have my X-rays looked at by another doctor at the hospital. The only other negative comment I would like to make is the outdated way they make patients X-rays available, it was impossible to have my X-rays sent to my surgeon in Canada. I had to take the CD the hospital gave me, buy an external CD reader, download the MICRO DICOMVIEWER app, download the images, take photos of them on my laptop then email them to my surgeon in Toronto in order to get his opinion.
