This used to be a good office but it sucks now. They cancelled an appointment without calling and the office is quite far from my house and on top of that I haven't even been able to see my own doctor for over two years because they keep putting me with random nurses. And one of the nurses made me feel so judged for something medically wrong that I am having trouble going back to get it looked into further. Also when you say "you really should've come in" ...well I would've if your staff could pick up the phone once in a while Or return my call at the very least. But even then it's not always that easy for some people who have a lot of responsibility to just drop it and go.
My recent experience with Health First Medical Group was extremely disappointing. The employees I interacted with seemed completely uninterested in patient service, and their communication came across as dismissive and unprofessional. It felt like basic courtesy and customer care were missing altogether. When you’re dealing with people’s health, the least you expect is respect and clear communication, and unfortunately that wasn’t the case here. I left feeling unheard and undervalued, and I hope they take steps to improve how they treat the people who rely on them.
This office is careless and incompetent and ridiculously rude. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone. They never answer the phone or return voicemails. My wife had to have a biopsy done. Took over two months to get it. Kept getting the run around that there’s a problem with their scheduling system and that the doctor is going over the game plan for the biopsy. Yet when we finally get to the biopsy we find out they ordered it for the completely wrong body part. They did it for her thyroid which was removed over 20 years ago. Then they look at yet again the wrong gland and tell us we’re good and no biopsy needed. Then they realize their mistake and say never mind it’s this one and it’s still swollen. On June 9, 2025, I went for bloodwork at the HF Murrell address. It was a TERRIBLE experience. First, HF switched over to a new system, so HF forced the customers to take the time to accept three new forms (for its convenience/requirement). Second, the person checking me in clearly wasn't properly trained. She asked for my phone no. 5 or 6 or 7 times. After she was FINALLY able to get to the screen that would show if my doctor's orders were in the system, she only found a PT/PTT form, which she printed out. After trying to figure out what had happened, she said I needed to have my PCP order the tests. I said that made no sense, since it was a HF doctor who ordered the PT/PTT test. I told her that obviously my HF doctor had ordered ALL 4 tests but only 1 had gotten into the new software s
I changed my primary doctor in Aug 2023 and called the Health First office to see Dr. Ridhi Bansal. The customer service told me, you have to make an initial appointment first that Dr. Bansal talk to you before your annual checkup. I saw Dr Bansal in 8-3-2023 for initial checkup. She gave me my lab paperwork to do my lab work. Then, Cigna told me you have to see your primary doctor for your annual check. I called Health First customer service and told them I need to see Dr. Bansal for my annual checkup. I saw the doctor on 3-21-2024, and I told Dr Bansal today is my annual checkup. Later in 2025, Cigna increased our deductible because Cigna said that you did not see your doctor in 2024 for your annual checkup. Dr. Bansal put wrong code for my visit in 3-21-2024.
