I have been seeing Dr. Stein for just over a year for TMJ treatment and have had an excellent experience. The doctor took the time to thoroughly explain my options and helped me choose the most effective treatment plan. The custom appliances have made a significant improvement in how I feel, and I’m very pleased with the results. Both Dr. Stein and staff are great! I truly appreciate the care and attention I’ve received.

Over 1 year ago, my mild TMJ symptoms suddenly became severe. In addition to considerable pain, I suffered with my jaw locking and popping, which prevented me from opening my mouth wide enough to eat properly. I was desperate, especially since I was supposed to be vacationing the following week. I found Dr Allan Stein’s practice and they expedited an appointment that saved me! Through a combination of mouth appliances, cortisone injections, and physical therapy I have achieved almost a complete recovery! The high quality care I received from Dr Stein and his extraordinary dental therapist, Jeanette, has truly given me back my life.

I was having great difficulty finding a TMJ in my county, and the ones I did find weren't partnered with any insurance providers. For a consultation alone, I was looking at $250-$300. I quickly began to realize that TMJs are few and far between and that there's a reason they're called specialists! I decided to expand my search in an effort to find a TMJ that would take my insurance when I stumbled the TMJ Center of New Jersey. I was nearing my wits end when I picked up the phone to give their office a call. Not only did they have appointments available and take my insurance, the TMJ consultation was free. I went into this office for Botox for the first time for TMJ due to the excruciating pain. After 30 days my face change drastically Dr stein injected more Botox on my right side And that produce a dent which looks horrible. I would suggest if you have a thin face DO NOT get Botox on your masseter muscle as it shrinks!! I was never explained the muscle would shrink this much of course he’s not going to provide that information as all they want is your money. I called to have the doctor see the dent and was told he’s double book for the entire month. I would NOT recommend him at all!!!!
