HCA Virginia Health System

I was in the ER on June 10th in the late afternoon until about 7pm. First, there was a patient sticker in the room stuck on the vitals machine. It displayed patient name, DOB, account number, etc. I destroyed it, but that is a HIPPA violation. Second, I observed some horrible behavior from the nursing staff towards patients. The nurses were more interested in their personal chatting, snacks and McDonald's dinner. One nurse got into a sarcastic, verbal confrontation with a patient. From conversations I heard, there were a few alcohol poisoning cases. One mother asked for a vomit bag and was completely ignored. Evidently there was a 'patient watcher' there and she nicely got the bag. Because of all the noise I realized that the machines in each of these patient's cubical was going off with n

When I first arrived they ordered blood tests. It took over 3 hours for them to draw blood. They lost a urine sample and waited 2 hours to request another. During this time I was repeatedly denied water. Go somewhere else. They don’t treat patients like people here.

Patient here who encountered the disgustingly terrible nurse Victoria A. She was rude and disrespectful to my me during my time spent at the hospital and even made disparaging comments about my family IN FRONT OF ME. I have never experienced such blatant disrespect. Cannot believe how she still has a job.

Saved my life more than once.

It was a different experience for me being that I’m a Tennessean. The people there was very friendly and helpful!!!
