HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital, A part of Trident Hospital

From the moment we entered everyone smiled and greeted us warmly and made us relax. Carolyn in the PAT Dept is so knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Having my blood drawn was the easiest I've had in years. when we returned for my surgery it felt like old home week. Everyone on the OR team: Jen S., Lexi and Tim and Kellie treated me like family. This is my second stay at Summerville Medical Center and the second time I was sure I was receiving the best of care. I had an amazing experience in the ER from The moment that I stepped through the door. The receptionist behind the desk, was very helpful and pleasant when I was signing in. The registrar was quick , kind and informative when I was signing documents. The nurse that came to get me to take me to my room listened to everything that I had to say and documented it down. The nurse that I had that took care od me the first half of my visit was absolutely amazing. The care and concern that I received from her and the night nurse were exceptional. The nurses along with the doctor were very thorough in helping to make sure that when I left, I was informed on what I needed to do to continue feeling better. When I arrived the young lady at admissions was very friendly and eager to help. Once I was in the back, Gena was everything! She was friendly, funny and empathetic. The anesthesiologist was friendly and to the point…she was on her stuff and my surgeon…well what can I say…Dr. Miles Reeves is awesome and took great care of me. He knew my concerns and made sure I knew what was going to happen step by step. I woke up and my nurse was so sweet and made sure I was comfortable up until discharge. I can’t speak for everyone at HCA but everyone I came in contact with took great care of me and made my experience, top notch

Mostly the experience here in my opinion is very calm and relaxing. Coming here If i remember correctly since high school where there were never a time to worry about being taking care of. All my visit s here not even once disappointed. There wasn’t a time having a serious issue with my body that I also could remember, just knowing I’m in care walking through doors. For all the doctors and nurses, even who haven’t serviced me before keep doing a GREAT job taking care of others. Before I forget, the facility always clean and smells so well. (Just speaking for myself) Major appreciation for all here at this location. 😩

I got a bi-salp here and oh my gosh it was the best first surgery ever! I want to give a special shout-out to RN Danielle. She was the most kind, empathetic, and caring nurse I have ever met. She went above and beyond to ensure that I was informed, comfortable, and overall knew what I was getting into. She did ask me why I didn't want children but not in a judgemental way, she was curious and wanted to make sure that I was making the right decision, which is what good health providers do! She was so so personable and we cracked jokes together before and after the surgery. I also can't praise my doctor and surgeon Bo Reeves enough! None of this would be possible without him. Thank you so much SMC for making such an intimate surgery so comfortable and overall a great experience!
