HCA Florida Northwest Hospital

Went to the ER with my 17 month old last night (2/20) due to a high fever. He was 104.x at home, tested 103.7 in the ER. Walking into the ER, I knew it was going to be a wait because the waiting room was packed. I had already walked with my patience. My son was triaged and sent back to the waiting room. Then saw the provider and was sent back to the waiting room. The provider told me his fever doesn’t alarm him, in doesn’t really mean much. (Not his exact words). Yes, I understand 104 temp ( or 103.7) does not warrant an my child to be seen expeditiously. I understand rescues arriving and other more emergent cases trump my child. I was super patient and asked after 12 am what we were waiting on. I was told X-ray, swabs and meds. He got the swabs and X-ray ( which they were doing in the ha

I have to be so honest here. When I tell you that not only the amazing care from the very best physicians to the best nurses. Then just when I thought I was good. Mrs. Dumile Wagner, BSN, RN came to visit me & made everything even better. She is so kind and so thoughtful. She is truly concerned about my health and my stay here. She made me feel like I wasn’t just another patient. She’s patient and extremely supportive. I feel like I actually have a voice. She has been so positive and a great listener. Even her upbeat personality is so refreshing. She is definitely one of your shining stars here. Iam truly grateful for everyone, especially Mrs. Wagner. Thank you Mrs. Wagner, I won’t forget you.

Adam Polak of the er was especially attentive and thorough throughout my entire visit, from constantly checking up on me or keeping me up to date with the results of my last test or letting me know what the next steps in my treatment would be. If it wasn't for his attention to detail I may have been discharged prematurely and possibly not made it through the night had it not been for is thoroughness and attention to detail. Only a true medical professional would have gone to the lengths he did to ensure patient safety. His actions in the er not only saved my life but possibly saved my heart from excessive damage that may have occurred under someone else's supervision. I owe my life to Adam and you should be thankful to have such a dedicated employee.

My experience at HCA Florida Northwest has always been great. Whether as a patient or a visitor everyone from first contact is amazing, the valet team, visitor check in with Tommy, Nurses like Benita and the entire 3rd floor, their nutrition and sanitation team make this a great hospital. The NICU Team deserve so much praise. (Sasha, John, Erlande, Jenni, Ashley, Gina and everyone).They always adhere to security guidelines provide timely updates and take such good care of their charges. You can tell everyone enjoys their jobs. They really take pride in their work, treat you with dignity and warmness without overstepping. They take the time to explain so you can make informed decisions and you feel like an empowered client. I appreciate their hard work and ability to make a stressful event

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at this hospital. I stayed here for two days, and from the moment I arrived, I was treated with so much kindness, care, and respect. The doctors, nurses, and all the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and compassionate. They were always checking on me, asking if I needed anything, and making sure I felt comfortable. Sherry was always kind bringing my food with the restrictions I need. and the Nurse Michelle I have no words to express my gratitude for her care and attention. If I could write every single name I would for the doctors, nurses, everyone here my biggest thank you! Honestly, I felt at home. I only left because I had to be discharged otherwise, I would have stayed longer just because of the amazing care I received. When
