HCA Florida Heart and Lung - Ocala

From my initial contact with the receptionist, and Dr. Bush and calls to the office (Sierra) returning my calls and answering questions were timely and thorough. Surgery was exceptional, closure stitches are perfect and follow up daily while in the icu and floor by Jay and Katrina were very thoughtful and caring. Post surgery with Rachel removing stitches making Pat and I comfortable. Overall from my perspective and experience surgery was uneventful, post surgery thorough and painless with expectations of being better each day. Pat and I appreciate Dr Bush and his entire staff's dedication, caring and exceptional knowledge and making Pat and I at ease throughout this very stressful time.

Nurses etc are so caring. Knowledgeable on everything i ask. Doctor Shukla, what incredible words can I find to say about this Doctor. He has done so much for the way my heart feels beating in my chest. I started off with my heart beating so fast all the time. The way my heart fluttered, skipped beats was uncomfortable 24/7. I either lived fearing it would just stop at anytime because it couldn't keep beating the way it was. I told my cardiologist over and over how miserable I was and scared. Every time I was told. Your heart is doing great !! Yes you experience high heart rate do to SVT but we can just keep upping your metoprolol until we find the right dose. I would highly recommend HCA Heart and Lung. Dr Shukla is awesome. He shows compassion, and patience. Not to mention how knowledgeable he is in his field of expertise. I did not feel rushed or like I was wasting his time. He answered all my questions. Took the time to explained everything, to me. His has a wonderful bedside manner. The office staff is also very competent ,pleasant and helpful.

I was brought in by ambulance and the emergency crew took charge and maintained constant attention with tests and x-rays and provided me with whatever I needed to keep comfortable. I was taken to the second floor in a private room and received the same level of attention by the nurses and the technicians and the doctor on staff, to bring my heart rate down and maintain the rhythm. The monitor that was on me provided information that was needed to make sure I was taken care of, and when it notated rapid heartbeat, the nurse was in immediately checking on me. On top of that the food was great. Everything about my experience was exactly as you would expect it to be from a hospital and I thank you. I've been called twice for a follow up since I've been home and it's obvious there's a genuine c
