Hawthorne Family Dentistry

I’ve been jumping through hoops to find a dentist that will actually help me and I see all these reviews saying how the office smells how the staff is so unprofessional that is not true, the office does not smell and the staff gets back to you right away, very professional, and courteous and let me just add in. If you’re afraid of going to any dentist, please choose Dr. Patel in Hawthorne on Lincoln Avenue because I’ve never felt a dentist have the most gentle, fast, and effective and honestly I can say now I am not afraid to go. I finally found a dentist. I know I will stick with.

I have used this dentist before about 11-12 years ago. He is very professional and definitely knows what he is doing. I had 3 teeth removed in one day and didn't feel a thing. He definitely numbed it up and even after the numbness was going away it wasn't hurting as bad. He did give me a script for some pain meds nothing crazy Tylenol 3's. I would 100% recommend DR. PATEL to anyone and everyone. Office is clean and smells good, and the staff is very helpful, and told me it will be ok. I have severe anxiety and I took extra meds to calm myself. It turns out I didn't need as much of it cause I didn't feel a thing... Dr Patel keep up the good work and I will see you soon.

I came here a couple years ago for a cleaning and they did X-rays for cavities. Afterwards, they told me the dr was busy so I could go home but they’d give me a call if I had any cavities. I wound up forgetting my water bottle and had to call into the office, come back in to talk with the front desk, and pick it up. I was happy that I didn’t get any calls with news of cavities! Flash forward 6 months to my next cleaning, the doctor asked me why I never made an appointment to fill my cavities. I told him no one had ever informed me I had any, and rather than apologizing for the unprofessional lack of communication, he dismissed my comment and told me I needed to make an appt asap. Unlucky for me, I was leaving the state for 4 months a few days after that appt, so my cavities went unchecked

Dr Patel goes above and beyond. His staff is awesome and helpful. 5 starts is under rating this establishment. I came to Dr Patel in pain years ago he fixed me and put me on a mouth maintenance lifestyle. Aka No more pain. If he tells you to come back for more you must.

Unprofessional and no parking. The place smells bad. I made an appointment and was not informed of needing to do anything. Upon arriving, they said I needed to notify my insurance before the 15th to go here and could reschedule for a month and a half out even though it already took 2 months to schedule this appointment. Will not be rescheduling
