If I were leaving a review a year ago, it would have been 5 stars, no doubt. Before the turnover, I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. That has changed. Being someone who went here for over a decade, I truly wouldn't leave a negative review without cause as I liked everyone there. The new staff (dentist and hygenists) left such a bad impression on me that I was nervous to come in for another cleaning, so I went ahead and found a new provider. I truly hope that this company can restructure and bring back the reliable business that lots of us were used to.

I have gone to hawthorn dental for 20 years, they recently cracked my back tooth during a cavity filling. I did not feel confident that the new dr. knew what she was doing during my multiple visits. I spent a small fortune with them and left with still not feeling confident in the tooth that they worked on. I highly do not reccomend, and I have had a much better experience at a new place, where the staff, Dr. and equipment were a huge upgrade.

Do not go here. Office staff is completely incompetent and rude. We are now having to scramble and find a different dentist because apparently, the office manager is new to Aetna and she doesn’t understand what a referral form is. She claims she doesn’t have the info to complete the form? Aetna has verified the dentist has everything needed and even they are confused by this. Just save yourself a headache. There are plenty of other places to go to that actually care about their patients. I guess having an infected tooth means nothing. Pretty big liability if you ask me… Christine is not equipped to handle any type of office work. Managerial skills are non existent. Knowledge is clearly not there. To have the excuse of “I’m new to Aetna” when my partner needs surgery for infection is wild

I had an extremely unprofessional and frustrating experience with this dental office, and after nearly two months of dealing with them, I’ve given up. As a new patient, I scheduled my first appointment one month in advance. Then, at 4 PM the day before my appointment, they texted (did not call) to cancel, claiming they couldn’t verify my insurance. This was despite the fact that I had completed all their intake forms well in advance and even uploaded a digital copy of my insurance. Their forms never clearly indicated which information was mandatory. When I called the office, I was told they were “too busy” and only attempt insurance verification 1–2 days before appointments. I chipped the back of my tooth and for some reason half of my tooth was shaved down due to differing instructions from the Doctor and Assistant. I had to go back in a second time to get it fixed, but it is still much shorter and crooked in appearance. I am concerned to go back again because it feels like I paid to have a broken looking tooth
